How to get a library card.
Adult patrons must present a valid ID or DL and fill-out the Computer/In-house Use Agreement. If the patron’s DL or ID does not show their current address, they must also present a piece of mail, a lease, property tax statement, or a utility bill showing their name and current address and receive a 30 day use card. If a patron lives outside the incorporated area of the City of Alvarado they must pay for a card.
Children under the age of 17 who attend school in the AISD may have one free Computer/In-house Use or Library Card. Children must have their parent or guardian fill-out a Computer/In-house or Library/Computer Use Agreement for them.
